My name is Miron Fyodorov, also known as Oxxxymiron. I am one of Russia’s most well-known hip-hop musicians. I have known Semmi Djabrail since 2016, and ever since I met her I have been a sincere admirer of her endeavours. These range from a hugely inspirational online presence to creating unique items of clothing at the intersection of fashion and art. She is a highly recognizable face in many different communities: the creative writing scene, the charity world, the motivational influencer community.
While fighting her own battles in the most brave way possible since her terrible accident, she always found the strength to help those in need and at risk. She has been vocal about the persecution of the LGBT+ community in the North Caucasus and helped victims of domestic violence using her resources and her considerable online following of 500 000 subscribers on Instagram and Tiktok. She has steadily supported and educated individuals with disabilities about opportunities available to them which are scarce in Russia. Her Instagram bio reads «Inspiring other to do perform of bravery»: this is spot on.
However, since the Russian invasion of Ukraine her own situation has worsened dramatically. Vital medications needed for her conditions are disappearing from Russia while the suppression of freedom of speech makes life unbearable for free-thinking individuals like Semmi. While many of her friends have fled persecution, she remains in a highly vulnerable position.
Semmi is an extraordinary human being, full of talent, resilience, and compassion towards others. I am certain that she will be an enrichment to any group of people, be it a company, a community, or a country.

My name is Kate IOWA, I am a Russian artist. I found out about Sammy via Instagram. I got very inspired by the story of her life and the strength that she’s going through everything with. Sammy is really talented at writing, she has a unique style of writing and her own unique way of seeing things. I really wish the best future for her, and I think she’s going to make something amazing happen, something like no one else could do. Even though she got in such a crazy challenging of a situation, she was able to not only keep living her life to the fullest, but to keep helping others to be able to believe in something good again, which is not something everyone could do after an accident like hers. I know she’ll save dozens of people from giving up. She’s a very strong person, and she already has ideas about she can improve the lives of the people with disabilities. She’s going to write a book that with help millions of people.

My name is Emil Davidovich Isagulyan. I am a neurosurgeon at Burdenko National Medical Research Center for Neurosurgery in Moscow. Sammy’s very complex case of chronic phantom limb pain syndrome introduced us to each other back in the day. She had an appointment with me, and then we decided to perform a surgery to implant a neurostimulating device in her spinal cord. Sammy was a very open, strong and a motivated patient. She’s very kind and full of light. Her talent in writing also needs to be talked about, because I believe this woman is going to have a big future because of it.

My name is Asya Dolina. I’m a journalist and a writer. I live in New York. I’ve met Semmi via social media. I’ve been following her for a long time and I see the potential that she can’t use in Russia. The conditions of life for people with disabilities are terrible to point that it’s not only impossible for her to live a normal life there, but also inhuman…

My name is Chulpan Khamatova. I met Semmi at an event organized by some friends we had in common. Ever since I met Semmi I’ve known her as a brave and a strong woman, overcoming the hardships of life with dignity. Semmi lives a very active social life helping those who found themselves in a similar life situation, and fighting for her progressive beliefs. There are a lot of people with disabilities in Russia, but only some of them manage not to give up in this cruel and inhumane environment. I sincerely believe in Semmi’s potential, and I think that she like no one else deserves a comfortable life without pain and sacrifices. Semmi is really good at writing. She has her own unique piercing style of writing, that her book is being written in. The book will be published soon and I have no doubt it’ll succeed in the best possible way, because this book is awaited by thousands of people. It will be better if Semmi can finish it in a safer environment.

Semmi Djabrail became a member of MAC CREW and an ambassador of the MAC’s latest campaign in Russia on the 1st of December 2021.
Our brand has always strived for working with the most creative and open people who can see the beauty in everything, and who are sincerely in love with what they do. Semmi became a perfect candidate for us - a strong and an interesting person who expresses her uniqueness in the brightest way inspiring her audience. Semmi’s style and her approach to everything she does deserves a lot of respect and admiration.
МАС company has gathered the most different personalities for this campaign, and the social focus of Semmi’s blog has helped us to show the idea of beauty and its variety from a new perspective. Semmi has become a very organic part of the project.
Semmi has recently taken part in two big photoshoots and has supported the launch of the new collection. We’ve received the most positive feedback from the audience since the beginning of our collaboration with Semmi, which is one of the best indicators of the involvement. The idea of МАС CREW has found a lot of support among Semmi’s audience, which was really important and valuable for us

My name is Rita Dakota. I am a pор-music artist and a songwriter in Russia. I’ve known Sammy for years, me met through some friends we have in common at an event. Ever since then we’ve been meeting up and following lives of each other on social media. I know that Sammy does a lot of charity and I respect it and support her in it. Sammy has recently started to work with some of the biggest global brands, but unfortunately these projects can’t be continued on the territory of Russia, that is now making her leave our country and go somewhere where she can be more useful and serve as an amazing example of never giving up. Sammy writes really deep stories covering important social topics, and people not only listen to her thoughts, but really hear them.

My name is Svetlana Bondarchuk. We decided to film an episode of my show on YouTube with Semmi in 2021. This girl’s story had amazed me deeply, and I had decided to meet her in person as soon as it would be possible. Meeting Semmi in real life amazed me even in a better way than I could expect. She is an intelligent and a kind girl with bright imagination and a talent to express her thoughts through writing. Semmi and I have been good friends ever since. Like many other people I love her style of writing and can already tell she’s going to succeed in it. I’m sure she should leave Russia. This country can’t give her anything, and it’s so not accessible that the only way for her to express herself to the fullest is to leave Russia.
